How does the Ready-Chill cold meal system work?
The Ready-Chill base is designed to keep cold meals fresh during transport with minimal complexity. Bases fully freeze in just two hours when stored vertically on racks in a walk-in freezer. A visual indicator provides added confidence - when the base turns from blue to white, it’s completely frozen and ready for use. Cold menu items, such as salads, sandwiches, and desserts, can be placed directly on the base and kept cold for up to 30 minutes on their own, or up to 60 minutes when paired with the matching clear dome (models ESCD100 or T730). Ready-Chill works with standard-size plates and can also hold prepackaged items like milk, soda, or yogurt.
Can Ready-Chill bases be microwaved?
No, Ready-Chill bases should never be microwaved or exposed to heat. Doing so can damage the base and compromise performance. Any damaged bases should be removed from service immediately.
