UNC Hospitals wins Food Management 2013 Best Concepts Award

Food Management Magazines names their 2013 Best Concepts Awards winners for their various innovations.  Angelo Mojica and his food service team at University of North Carolina win the Best Customer Concept Award for their Restaurant Delivery Program. Their program was developed as a labor-neutral alternative to a room service program.  The program includes the addition of retail menu options on their room service patient menu providing additional options for their patients. UNC was able to achieve a decline in their food costs with the new program.
